Lease-to-own means that you make recurring payments for the use of the products you have selected. You have no long term obligation to continue leasing, and can return the product to Zibby at any time with no further obligation other than for amounts past due.

In addition, you have several options to acquire ownership of the product you are leasing. A Zibby lease offers flexibility that may make it more attractive than financing. With each payment, you have the option to continue leasing, buyout, or return your items.

Zibby offers a simple, straight-forward lease-to-own payment option to help you acquire durable goods from top retailers. These include electronics, appliances, furniture, musical instruments, and more.

– A valid mobile phone number that can receive SMS text
– A valid US address
– A valid Social Security or Taxpayer ID Number (ITIN)
– A valid email address
– A valid credit or debit card to make payments (no prepaid or gift cards)
– A valid photo ID showing you are 18 years of age or older

Getting pre-approved for Zibby does NOT affect your credit score!

Before pre-approval
You can apply at any of our partner stores online or in-store. If approved, you will be provided with an available Zibby limit that can be used to lease a product.

After pre-approval
For qualified products, you may get a Zibby lease in a few simple clicks.

1. Select the Zibby button on the checkout page
2. Enter a few pieces of information to verify your identity and payment information. Don’t worry, our application does not request checking account, employment verification or personal references.
3. Receive an instant decision
4. Review and submit your order and the retailer sends you the products!

We’ll send you a welcome email that gives you access to your account, customer service, and more.

In addition, you have several options to acquire ownership of the product you are leasing. A Zibby lease offers flexibility that may make it more attractive than financing. With each payment, you have the option to continue leasing, buyout, or return your items.

Zibby’s auto-renewing leases are 12 – 18 months depending on the lease amount and state in which the customer resides. You can buy the products outright at any time, and a portion of every payment goes toward reducing the buyout price or return your item(s).

Loans generally offer lower recurring payments than leases, and leases offer flexibility. Also, there is no danger of penalty interest (be that compounding or deferred) with Zibby.

Loan: You can borrow money to buy something and you pay it back over time, plus interest.

Zibby Lease: Anyone who has a SSN or ITIN and is over 18 years of age can apply. With each payment you may choose one of three options:

  1. Continue leasing your items.
  2. Buyout your lease.
  3. Return your items.

If returns are applicable by your retailer, please contact Zibby’s customer service at 833-HiZibby (449-4229).

Returns beyond 30 days must be coordinated with Zibby. Your lease agreement will be satisfied once we receive the products, and examined their condition. Login to your account to learn more.

Failure to make on-time payments will impact your ability to get a Zibby lease in the future.

Anyone over 18 years old may apply and be approved.

Zibby does extend you a lease-to-own limit once you are pre-approved. Your available Zibby limit can be viewed on the success page of your application, in an email that Zibby sends upon approval, and on your personal account page on www.zibby.com. This limit may grow every month that you make a payment.

 

Yes. Any additional payments made directly to the retailer, including down payments, may not be refundable upon cancellation or termination of the Agreement. Please refer to the retailer’s refund policy regarding any payments made directly to the retailer.

 

Please contact the retailer to cancel your order before it has been delivered. Zibby will cancel your agreement once we receive the retailer’s confirmation that the order has been cancelled. If you want to cancel the agreement after the product has been delivered to your home, you will need to reach out to ZIbby Customer Service to coordinate, since this will be considered a return.

 

The first payment is due at checkout. Then recurring payments are auto-withdrawn from the account used at checkout. You can also make payments by logging into your Zibby account. You can also access your account information on our site by clicking here. Please contact customer service at 833-HiZibby (449-4229) if you need to update your account information. You can opt out of receiving auto-withdraw at anytime.

 

Before each payment is due, we’ll send you a text message and an email regarding the payment date and the amount of your next lease payment. You can opt out of receiving text messages at anytime.

 

No, Zibby offers a lease-to-own payment option. Customers are entering into an agreement to lease the product, with an option to own, by exercising the Early Purchase Option. The agreement is not a credit transaction. Lease payments do not include an interest rate or APR and these will not be used to calculate the lease amount.

Zibby considers the following four factors when calculating the lease payment.

1. The cash price of the product
2. The state in which the customer resides
3. The maximum term a customer can lease the product
4. The state/city sales tax rate

The lease agreement outlines the maximum number of times a lease can be renewed before the customer automatically obtains ownership.

 

No credit is required to apply for a lease with Zibby. You can apply if you have no credit, bad credit or a bankruptcy. “No credit required” does not mean nor imply that no inquiry will be made of credit history or creditworthiness. We may check past transactional history and report information about your lease to credit reporting agencies, but no established credit history is necessary.

Yes. Zibby charges and collects sales tax. Sales tax is added to all lease payments and buyouts.

Zibby is available in the US only. We do business in 46 states and Washington DC. We presently do not do business in Minnesota, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

We make it easy to connect with pre-approved customers. If a customer is shopping in-store they can apply and get an instant decision. If a customer is shopping online and is pre-approved you can access that information by logging into your retailer portal or by checking your email within 24 hours.

Zibby funds the next business day for leases that were delivered.

We can only fund you once the delivery has been completed. If a delivery date is modified or an item is on backorder, you will need to notify Zibby or adjust the date on the retailer portal. This ensures proper funding occurs.

If a product that is on a lease agreement is on backorder, you will need to make sure the customer is notified of the updated delivery date. Accommodations can be made and an updated lease agreement can be drafted for the customer. You will not be funded for a lease until all products have been successfully delivered to your customer. The initial payment will be collected by Zibby at checkout. You will process the payment in store via the retailer portal. If you offer your products online, customers will make their payment directly to Zibby during the checkout experience.

Zibby wants your customers to be successful with their lease agreement. To help ensure this, payments are collected via the card used for initial payment on your customers’ pay days.

Payments are calculated based on the amount your customer spends and the term of their lease.

Zibby has an expansive library of buttons, banners, social media content, in store marketing materials and promotional items. We’re always open to hear great ideas as well! Partner with your account manager if you’d like to make a suggestion.

Your customers are much more than a credit score. To show that, Zibby checks out information about your customer without the use of typical FICO based credit reporting agencies. To view our full credit report disclosure click here.

Customers nowadays want options. Zibby offers those to your customers. Through the use of our program, customers have the flexibility to pay off with our 90 day early purchase option, pay off any time during the lease agreement, or pay off by fulfilling all of their scheduled lease payments.

They can also contact Zibby to make arrangements if they are not able to maintain the agreement. All of this is done with no credit required. So whatever your customer is looking for, Zibby has an option for them.

Yes. Customers can make individual lease agreement purchases, or bundle products for ultimate savings. Zibby will offer them additional approval amounts for being a great customer that can be used towards another lease agreement.

Pre-Approvals are good for 30 days. We give your customer a couple of reminders during that time to come in and shop. If for any reason they do not use the pre-approval they are welcome to reapply again in the future.

Our application process is so easy, you won’t believe how fast you’ll be enjoying your products! We ask for the information below and that’s it. No hidden requests or mixed signals here.

1. A valid credit or debit card to make recurring payments. (no prepaid or gift cards, and the card MUST be in the signing customer’s name)
2. A current, valid US address that is active with the USPS. (Please note that commercial addresses and P.O. Boxes will not be accepted)
3. A cell phone with them, with a valid mobile number that can receive SMS
4. A valid Social Security or Taxpayer ID Number (ITIN).
5. A valid email address.
6. A valid photo ID showing they are 18 years of age or older

It depends on the law of your state. We want to make sure you to know, where permitted, additional payments made directly to you, the retailer, including down payments, may or may not be refundable upon cancellation or termination of the customer’s Zibby agreement.

Please refer your customers to your refund policy regarding any payments made directly to you. Payments made directly to you should be excluded from the cart amount submitted during the Zibby checkout process and applicable taxes should be collected by you for any monies directly paid to your store. Be sure to provide the customer with an invoice that reflects this transaction.

Zibby has your back. We mirror your return and exchange policies. Customers are able to utilize those policies if within the guidelines stated. If your policy window of 30 days (or more where applicable) has passed, customers may contact Zibby and return the product(s) to Zibby, releasing them from future payments. Please provide the customer with Zibby’s Customer Service information if assistance is needed; (833) HiZibby (449-4229) or help@zibby.com. In the case of a valid return all funds paid by Zibby to you must be returned to Zibby within 72 hours.
